MMHE secures five new contracts worth RM527mil

KUALA LUMPUR : Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MHB) has secured a contract for offshore structure fabrication works in the Kumang Cluster gas field in Sarawak as well as several works packages for the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project totalling RM527mil.

The contract was awarded by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of MHB.

In a statement on Tuesday, the group said that the contact entailed the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the wellhead platform (WHP) topside and jacket, telecommunications and instrumentation system tie-ins of the new F12 platform as well as existing platforms.

The F12 facilities is located in the Kumang Cluster offshore gas field, which is 180 kilometres northwest of Bintulu, Sarawak in a water depth of 101 meters.

Additionally, MHB had also secured four works packages relating to RAPID with several contractors.

The contracts comprise of piping fabrication, electro-mechanical, and structural works.
